Level 10 Encryption

SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Procedures regarding the protection of personal sensor logs.

1. Protocol Overview

Holodeck Grid Administration is committed to protecting your personal data logs. This document outlines what intelligence we gather from your terminal, how it is secured within the main computer core, and your rights as a member of the crew.

2. Sensor Log Data (Collection)

We collect specific telemetry to maintain grid stability:

A. Personnel Records (Direct Input)
  • Identity: Avatar Name and Email Address provided during enlistment.
  • Credentials: Your password is encrypted via one-way hashing algorithms. Not even an administrator can read it.
  • Comms: Data provided when opening a hailing frequency (Helpdesk ticket).
B. Automated Telemetry
  • Connection Logs: IP address, viewer type (Firestorm/Singularity), and operating system specs.
  • Grid Coordinates: We log the sectors (regions) you visit to monitor simulation performance and investigate anomalies.
  • Data Tokens (Cookies): Essential tokens used to maintain your comms session.

3. Usage of Intelligence

Data is used strictly for:

  • Authentication: Verifying your clearance level to access the grid.
  • Security: Monitoring for intrusion attempts, unauthorized access, or Borg activity.
  • Communication: Sending priority messages regarding service status or account alerts.
  • Optimization: Analyzing sensor logs to improve grid stability.

4. Data Sharing Protocols

We do not sell crew data to Ferengi or any third-party traders. Data is only shared with:

  • Infrastructure Partners: Cloud hosting providers essential for maintaining the simulation hardware.
  • Legal Authorities: Only if compelled by a valid planetary court order.

5. Unsecured Comms Channels

You are responsible for information you broadcast on open frequencies (Public Chat, Group Chat, or Profile bios). This data is visible to other users and cannot be fully secured by Administration.

6. Encryption & Security

We utilize SSL/TLS encryption for all subspace transmissions (website traffic). Passwords are hashed and salted. However, no shielding system is 100% impenetrable; proceed with standard caution.

7. User Data Rights

Depending on your planetary sector, you may have rights regarding your data. You may request a copy of your personnel file, request corrections to your account data, or request a full deletion (deletion of data) by contacting Administration via the Helpdesk.

8. Youth Privacy

The Holodeck is not designed for cadets under age 13. We do not knowingly collect telemetry from children. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

9. Changes to Privacy Protocols

We may update this Protocol from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed.

10. Contact Support

If you have questions about these protocols, hail us via the official Helpdesk or send a subspace message to admin@holodeckgrid.ddns.net.
